Italy's preeminent artwork rock 'n' roll rig of the ahead of time '70s, PFM would've remained a purely Italian phenomenon had it non been for their being gestural by Emerson, Lake & Palmer to the latter's Manticora label. Their healthy was more than distinctly still in the pre-classical era than that of their Germanic language counterparts. In addition to galvanic keyboards (synthesizers, etc.), they overly relied on violin and flute (recorder, actually) as major components of their music. Their place, by the way, was short for Premiata Forneria Guglielmo Marconi, the name of the bakery that primitively sponsored them.
